Pepi’s Pals: An environmentally educational and sustainable
food brand for kids.

Background and Strategy

Pepi’s Pals combines the joy of the pop-up ice cream with the relevancy of the at-risk species in our world. The product is aimed at children aged 9–12yrs, with six collectible animals that can be ‘saved’ from the ice (within the ice cream) and kept as a toy. These toys are made from PHA biodegradable plastic, and the ice cream cone from cardboard, for environmentally conscious packaging.

Delivery

On the inside of the ice cream labels is information about the species communicated in a child-friendly tone, a code to collect and play with the animal in-app, and a QR for collecting tokens that can earn you a free Pepi plushie. This encourages collectible engagement from the target market and will drive interest in each species. In turn, awareness of the environmental challenges these species face can rise among the
new generation.
